4H Consolidation

Finds symbols that have spent an extended period inside a narrow 4H region with contracting volatility, often contracting volume and little net direction. It does not predict breakout direction; it produces watch candidates.

Robust range

Uses the main candle-body region to reduce distortion from isolated long wicks.

ATR contraction

A negative percentage indicates volatility has decreased versus the previous equal window.

VOL

Volume contraction

Shows how much volume decreased versus the previous equal window.

≈

Directionlessness

Closer to 100 means price moved around but made less net progress.

⌖

Low / Mid / High

Classifies where the consolidation sits in the recent 30-day price range.

Short interpretation

Summarizes duration, range, ATR, volume, directionlessness and location for each symbol.

What does strong consolidation look like?

A long duration + narrow range + high directionlessness + ATR contraction is more notable. Volume contraction provides additional support but is not mandatory alone.

What does it not mean?

A high consolidation score does not guarantee an upside breakout or an imminent move. It is a monitoring and screening tool.
